Synopsis

The psychological term is empty nest syndrome. The symptoms? Sadness, loneliness, sudden aimlessness, a bitter feeling of forgetfulness, and depression. We all grow up leaving the homes we grew up in. Parents get older. At times they are left alone, go to nursing homes, or may even be left on the streets. The abandonment of family elders in nursing homes has grown in recent years and there are concerns that the number of elderly people on the streets will also increase.
