Synopsis

Two single mothers struggle with the expectations and pressures of motherhood, and conflict arises when one of them develops a deeper bond with the other woman’s child.

Dorothy Xiao (Writer/Director)

Dorothy’s films have amassed over 600k+ views online and screened at multiple film festivals such as the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, Nevada City Film Festival, and the Seattle Asian American Film Festival.

She is an alumnus of the Jubilee Media Fellowship, where she wrote and directed the short film EXPOSURE, which now lives on a Youtube channel with over 3 million subscribers. She also wrote and directed THE OTHER WOMAN, which won third place in the 2015 Asian American Film Lab’s 72 Hour Shootout Competition. Her short film DIVE BAR is currently playing on board as part of Alaska Airlines’ In Flight Entertainment. She is also one of the Directors participating in the 2022 CBS Leadership Pipeline Challenge, a program that promotes local nonprofits through a short film competition.
